Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern your membership of the United Nurses Association (United Kingdom) (“the Association”, “we”, “us”).
By registering for membership or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to individuals who support the aims and objectives of the Association. We reserve the right to accept or decline any application for membership at our discretion.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when applying.
- Membership is personal to you and may not be transferred to another person.
- You must keep your contact and membership details up to date.
Members' Responsibilities
As a member, you agree to:
- Act in accordance with the aims, values and constitution of the Association.
- Treat other members, committee members and volunteers with courtesy and respect.
- Not bring the Association into disrepute.
- Comply with any reasonable rules and guidance issued by the committee.
Membership Fees and Subscriptions
Where membership fees or subscriptions apply, they will be communicated to you clearly. Fees, once paid, are non-refundable except where required by law or at the committee's discretion.
Events and Activities
The Association organises events and activities for its members and the wider community. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
Details of events, including any charges, will be published in advance. We reserve the right to amend or cancel events where necessary.
Code of Conduct
We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment. Behaviour that is discriminatory, harassing, threatening or otherwise unacceptable may result in suspension or termination of membership.
Termination of Membership
We may suspend or terminate your membership if you breach these Terms & Conditions or act in a way that is harmful to the Association or its members. You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting us.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Association shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from your membership, participation in events, or use of our website, save where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
Data Protection
We process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions. Please refer to the Privacy Notice for details of how we collect, use and protect your information.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website, and continued membership constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
